Kelabokka


 Kelabokka is a beautiful place located in the Panvila Kabaragala area in the Matale District.  This place is located on the road from Panvila to Matale, about 6km from the main road.  Although it is about 6km, it is a beautiful road with side roads to go up.  A 360 ° wide view can be seen from the top of the hill.  The jungle is located at an altitude of 1175m above sea level.

 The road through the tea estates along this beautiful knuckles mountain that stretches all the way to Matale is also very beautiful.  The view of the morning sunrise and sunset over Kalabokka is breathtaking.






 This place has Matale, Sembuwatta, Knuckles Range, Batalegala, Pidurutalagala, Riverston Range, Kandy and Sri Pada site at night. We could not see it properly due to the fog.  Sembuwatta is located below this place and is about 3km away from here.

 If you go to the jungle, you can easily visit Hulugaga Falls, Lebanon Falls, Thalia Fallen Falls, Jodu Falls and Sari Falls in one day.

To see Kalabokka you have to buy a Rs. 100 ticket at the ticket counter near the main road.  Campers can get permission for camping with advance notice and it costs around Rs. 3500 / -.

 It is an unpaved road with small stones that make it difficult for small cars to travel.  Easy to navigate with a 4x4 vehicle.  Motorcycles can easily reach the top.

You can also visit these places and it is your duty to protect them.

kabaragala mountain

  Kabaragala is the highest mountain in the Dolosbage Range. Although it is about 1506m high, the view from the top is breathtaking. About an hour after starting the hike we were able to climb the first peak. Due to the different location we decided to go camping there without going any further. Somehow by the time the sun went down in the evening there was an unspeakably beautiful view.💆🏻‍♂️ The most beautiful part of the trip is when it gets a little late. Sitting by a fireplace in the freezing cold and being with friends under a starry sky is definitely an unforgettable experience.🥺✨ The sun rises in the morning as it does in the night. Sinharaja Forest Reserve

Sinharaja is a Rain Forest and a biodiversity hotspot which is located in south west lowland wet zone within Sabaragamu and Southern provinces of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja rain forest is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rain forest. It covers an area of 11,000 Ha of primary and secondary forests. This narrow strip of rolling site comprises of a series of ridges and valleys. More than 60% of the trees are endemic to Sinharaja Forest and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds but the reserve is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of butterflies & mammals and also many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians.
