kabaragala mountain


 Kabaragala is the highest mountain in the Dolosbage Range. Although it is about 1506m high, the view from the top is breathtaking.

About an hour after starting the hike we were able to climb the first peak. Due to the different location we decided to go camping there without going any further. Somehow by the time the sun went down in the evening there was an unspeakably beautiful view.💆🏻‍♂️

The most beautiful part of the trip is when it gets a little late. Sitting by a fireplace in the freezing cold and being with friends under a starry sky is definitely an unforgettable experience.🥺✨ The sun rises in the morning as it does in the night. At sunset in the morning the top of Kabaragala looked very beautiful with a different view. Anyway, after a little light, we took our breakfast and headed to our destination. That is the second peak of Kabaragala. It took me about two hours to get to the top, but when I got to the top I didn't feel the slightest bit sad about it. When you reach the top of Kabaragala you can see the height of the side of the Rassagala mountain. One day we went down again thinking of crossing Rassagala.

In a nutshell, Kabaragala is one of the most beautiful places to visit and an unforgettable experience. Sadly, what was left was something left by some who had gone before. Sinharaja Forest Reserve

Sinharaja is a Rain Forest and a biodiversity hotspot which is located in south west lowland wet zone within Sabaragamu and Southern provinces of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja rain forest is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rain forest. It covers an area of 11,000 Ha of primary and secondary forests. This narrow strip of rolling site comprises of a series of ridges and valleys. More than 60% of the trees are endemic to Sinharaja Forest and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds but the reserve is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of butterflies & mammals and also many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians. This is one of the main reasons that UNESCO declared Sinharaja Forest as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1988 under the name of Sinharaja Forest Reserve.
