Ambuluwawa mountain
Ambuluwawa, 5 km from my home town Gampola on the Hemmatagama road and find the access road to the Ambuluwawa hilltop. This mountain range is spread over an area of 927 acres. This dagoba is located on a hill at an elevation of 3567 feet above sea level and has become a popular destination among local and foreign tourists . A Catholic Church, a Hindu Temple, a Muslim Mosque and a Buddhist Temple have been built on the top of the hill and Ambuluwawa can be described as an interfaith place. From this place you can see a 360 degree view without any hindrance. On a clear day, even the ocean is visible to the naked eye. Emt Samanala Kanda, Namunukula, Knuckles Mountains, Hanthana, Batalegala, Pidurutalagala, Alagalla, Sapta Kanya, Hunnasgiriya, Bhairava Kanda and many other mountain systems can be seen clearly.
