Hanthana mountain
The Hanthana Range is located southwest of Kandy. The maximum elevation here is about 3800 feet. This range consists of seven peaks.
Its highest mountain is Pig Mountain.
There are several ways to enter the Hanthana mountain range,
1.Uduwela - Road up to 4️ post (near Kandy National Hospital)
Clock Tower >> Uduwela or 4th pillar
By bus π >> Hanthana Estate
2. Near Peradeniya University
π Uda Peradeniya Road >> Upper Hanthana Lodge

In addition, there are a number of other routes from areas such as Mahakanda, Bowalawatta and Deltota. The University of Peradeniya is located adjacent to the Hanthana Range. In Hanthana it is often more likely to get lost because the mountain is covered in fog in a matter of seconds. You have to buy a ticket to climb the mountain (Rs. 50). At the top of Hanthana mountain you can see Peacock hill, Kabaragala, Alagalla, Batalegala mountains and Kadugannawa.Here you can see the place called Katusukonda near Uragala which is the highest mountain. It's so named because it looks like a lizard's backbone. This rock with a very narrow top is located with a straight slope on one side and a large slope on the other side. There is no shortage of leeches during the rainy season and he has to be careful of wasps in some places.
